I am COO of Finconcept, and work to identify and develop business opportunities in both National and International markets. This calls for constant monitoring of a series of contexts which are of interest to us. This often means that I am called upon to study, understand and evaluate opportunities in new areas in very reduced time span. In order to best respond to this constraint we are developing new tools to make the collection, elaboration and dissemination of information more rapid and effective and tools to improve and accelerate the decisional process.
Before taking up my present position in Finconcept.net I worked for a number of years on the design and implementation of international cooperation projects in sectors such as environment, training and aid programmes. This experience taught me that other than a clear understanding of a specific sector, one of the keys to success of an innovative project has to be the true and transparent rapport between all the stakeholders.
Despite a degree in Biological Sciences, I chose a career in the training sector, beginning with language teaching in a series of very different contexts, favouring environments where I was free to experiment with new and emerging methodologies, and later moving on to the challenging field of training teachers and vocational trainers. My experience in this sector has proved to be extremely useful for present actions where support for colleagues and members of client work groups is called for.
I am a firm believer in the potential of the European Union and, after having lived in four of its member states and visited another ten for both work and pleasure, consider myself to be a true European citizen.
Even if I look on myself as a ‘man of the mountains’, in summer you can find splashing around in the sea with my daughter or looking after my organic vegetable plot. In winter I prefer the forests and hills of Emilia Romagna or the Marche for a day out.
