During his speech for the opening of the judiciary year, the president of the court of Palermo, CARLO ROTOLO, in spoke very highly of ‘Modello Sicilia’
“Regarding International adoptions…. The application of "Modello Sicilia" – an IT system allowing the interconnection of the Juvenile courts, Social services, Psychological and Family services of the local health board, financed the department for Family Welfare, permitted a significant slimming of the international adoptions process and a noteworthy reduction in the time necessary for the declaration of approval. For these reasons it is highly desirable that the system be extended to the whole of Sicily.”
