Talking about AMS-EGT project under the sicilian sun

On 22 July at the Department of Health of the Sicilian Region, a Services Conference was held involving the highest regional institutions engaged in a discussion aimed the renewel of a memorandum of understanding that promises to be the cornerstone of future Sicilian actions in the field of child protection.

In the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Juvenile Court of Palermo and Caltanissetta, the Councillor for Health, the Councillor for Family Welfare and Labour, the Councillor for Education and Training, from GOIAM , the Regional Education Office and further representatives of ASP Sicilian, Finconcept.net presented the state of art of the project AMS-EGT, highlighting how the organisational model implemented in the project, and considered a "best practice" already in the context of adoptions can be effectively extended to other aspects of child protection.

The draft of the new version of the MoU, submitted and approved by all present, proposes an agreement regarding the definition of a new organizational model for regional integrated management of services to support and protect the children and the consequent redefinition of the way in which the various departments involved work together to ensure this protection throughout the whole of Sicily.

The final version of the protocol will be defined by the end of September, as agreed by all present, with the signing and the commencement of the measures provided by each subscriber.
